Black Duck Siding

CA$12.00

Black Duck Siding is a circular yoke with flattering side bands on the body and a little bit of slip stitch colourwork imbedded in the stranded yoke. The stranded colourwork bands on the body sides are worked in the round, so there are small steeks involved. The first steek is done over 15 rounds, so it is perfect introduction to steeking if you have never steeked before! The sweater body is worked sideways with short rows at the bust and hip to achieve waist shaping and the colourwork bands on each side of the body are worked in the round and steeked as you go. Increases and decreases are made as you work around the body to shorten the sweater in the front and to lengthen the sweater in the back. The sleeves are worked in the round, bottom up, and joined to the body at the yoke. The colourwork yoke is knit upwards from the arm divide to the neck, where short rows are worked across the back neck before the collar.
